Turkey Time Cont...

He loved his cousin Taylor's hat.
A sweet picture with his Meme and Papa
Our attempt at a family picture. We did not have much cooperation. Everyone was laughing and then Papa was being silly and got in the picture.
Mommy got a picture with her sweet boy!
Uncle Brad's hat and the squirt bottle to discipline Belle. Carter was not giving it up!

We had so much to be thankful for this holiday season. Carter is so loved by many people. We have a wonderful family and the holidays are always special. What a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Turkey Time

Cartman with Nana on Thanksgiving Eve
Carter with Nanu-Sporting is new bomber jacket and eating a carrot from his new rocking horse!
Carter seeing is rocking horse for the first time! (He loves to ride it over at Nanu's and Kay's)
Now that smile is something to be thankful for!
It was so cold on Thanksgiving but Meme took Carter outside anyway!

Mid Nov Pics

Bath Time!! His hair just cracks me up when it gets wet. It is getting so long. Carter will not sit at all in tub now. He just walks around the entire time and splashes water everywhere. Bath time is interesting in our house these days.

There were a couple of nice fall days in November. Carter and I went out to play in the leaves one Saturday afternoon. We had so much fun!

15 month check up and stats

I just realized I never posted Carter's 15 month check up info. These past few months have been very busy! I didn't get to go with Carter because I had called in sick a couple of days before and we were really busy at work. Grandma Emily took him and said he did great. Who knows though because Grandma always says her grandsons are perfect!

Weight: 25 lbs 7 1/2 ozs (60th%)
Height: 31 1/4 in. (50th%)

Sounds perfect to me. The nurse and doctor said everything looked good and we had a healthy boy!

I also haven't updated on some of our newest things. Carter is starting to climb on to things. He is not afraid of anything. He loves to wrestle around with daddy and Ellie too. One night I was making dinner and Carter was in the living room, it was way to quiet so I went to check on him and he had climbed up on our rocking chair! We had no clue he could even do that. Everyone has been teaching Carter lots of new things. He can point to everyone when asked, he knows who all of his family is. Probably because everyone spoils him to death! Another favorite activity is reading books. He especially loves all of the pop-up ones.

We feel very blessed during this holiday season to have a happy and healthy growing boy!

First of November Pics (15 months)

Carter likes to try on his dads shoes. He does a little dance in them too!!
A typical Saturday morning. Carter goes in a wakes dad up. C'mon dada please read my farm book.
This is Carter during the Raiders vs Chiefs game. Nothing like a mohawk in our Raiders jumpsuit. And it obviously brought them good look!
First time in the car shopping cart. He looked it for almost 3/4 through the store. Than got a little tired and was ready to get out!!!

Our big guy just continues to grow and learn every day. I can't believe he is 16 months old and it is already holiday time!!!

Happy Halloween

These pictures are blurry, but little Tigger wouldn't sit still so they were the best ones we could get. He actually didn't mind being in the costume. He just wouldn't stop moving!

Our neighbors gave him a banana when he went to trick or treat. He loved it!!
Finally one good picture of Pooh (cousin Henry) and Tigger.
Tigger running more after the photo op.

We had such a nice Halloween. All the family came over for chili/soup and hot dogs. Then we even went to a couple of neighbor houses. Carter liked giving out candy to our trick or treate's.

Spooktacular at the Zoo

On our way to Spooktacular, Carter was so good to ride with his costume on.
Feeding the goat.
He was excited! He really liked spooktacular.
Tried to get a family picture, but Carter wasn't too excited.
Yay, finally Tigger got to run around at the end of it.

Carter's first spooktacular was fun. He was not too thrilled about the candy, but did like the petting zoo and watching some of the animals. It was kind of cool, but not too bad for late October in Missouri. We went Friday, Oct 29th, to kick off our Halloween weekend.

In his high chair ready to eat!
Showing us his dancing moves!!! He is a great dancer...it is so fun to watch him.
Look at all that hair!!
I was trying to get a picture of his Halloween pjs, but he did not want to cooperate.
Here is the only one I really got. It is hard when they start moving...they don't stop!

Rutledge-Wilson Farm- Oct 9th

He found the pumpkin he liked.
Tried to get a family pic, but Carter wasn't cooperating.
Sitting on a hay bale.
He doesn't even need his stroller!

We had family pictures with Clay family and then that afternoon we went to the Rutledge-Wilson Farm. Carter liked all the animals and the pumpkins. It was a really warm day in October!

Some fun Oct Pictures-14 months old

Mom, get that camera away from me!! I do not want another picture taken!!
Look at that grumpy face! One of his newest expressions...cracks me up every time I see it.
Had his first ride on a horse at cousin Jeremiah's 2nd birthday. He wasn't too sure about it, but did really well.
I was trying to get him to smile at the camera. Mom looks a little silly, but what a cute picture of Carter!
This picture just made me laugh! We were going to church at Jefferson Ave that Sunday morning. Carter just looked so adorable in his sweater vest I had to take pictures.

Bedtime

Since Carter was about 12 months old we have been doing the same bedtime routine. Some nights go better than others, but majority of the time he is really easy. After jammies are on and diaper is changed we read a bedtime story. Most night a couple of stories.

We talk about some things...Carter trying to give me the sad face that he doesn't want to go to bed yet. I say, it is best to go to bed early and you will feel so good in the morning. Sometimes I think I should go to bed around 8:30! I will feel so rested in the morning.
Then we give a kiss to mommy and daddy. So sweet! Carter's kisses are the best. They can make you forget about everything else!
The the usually yell, Hey I am not ready for bed yet...time to play more?
OK, one last smile. See you in the morning!!!

Carter has always been so great about following his routine. Such a happy little boy.

Boomer Sooner!

Watching the OU game.
Trying to show Meme how to play.
Playing with some toys! The games are long so we get distracted!!
Why all the pics mom!!

Usually on Saturday afternoons/evenings we get together with Clay's grandparents and mom to watch the Sooners play. Carter got his first jersey this year. Some of his other family is trying to teach him to call the hogs, but he just shakes his head! Too funny, Carter will have to choose his team one day, but for now will go with daddy's team.
