Early July--23 months

Went to the park on the 4th of July. It was very hot outside, but we had fun anyways. We didn't really do much on the 4th weekend. Just hung out in town.

Broke out the slip n slide for some water fun.

WOW....it has been way too long since I have written. Time flies by so quick. These picture are from before his birthday so this is a little out of order. I just had to post the birthday pics first.

Birthday party continued...

He gave some cake to mom and dad, but finally got a good piece in dad's mouth.

My little guy turns 2!!!!!

We had a big birthday party bash the weekend before Carter's birthday. We had even won a photographer to come and take pictures. It was an awesome day!

On July 23rd, we celebrated Carter's 2nd birthday with family and friends. It was hot outside, so we got a water slide for the kids and several tents for the adults. We did smoked pork and hotdogs with all the fixings! I know we had a blast and Carter did too. He talked about the water slide for days after the party. We are so lucky to have such great family and friends to come out and celebrate!

Vacationing can really wear you out. Almost every time we came in from the beach or the pool he had to relax on the couch.

Carter and momma after dinner one night. We had really great food the whole time we were there! This night we beat the crowd and got in and out before the rush.

After we ate lunch at Dewey Destins we walked out on a pier.

We also did a lot of hanging out on our patio. We had a view of the beach and Carter was content if he at least got to look at the beach.

We had a great trip to Destin. The car ride was long, but Carter did a great job. The condo we stayed in was really nice and had an awesome location. We took it easy on our trip...lots of swimming and eating. The whole family had naps almost every day. The sun can really wear you out!! I hope next time we don't wait as long to see the beach again. I really loved our time together as a family.

Summer Summer Time!!

Nothing better for entertaining then a water sprinkler after work.
Nana is reading Carter a story. He still loves reading!
I just had to take a picture of him in his cute overalls and hat! That sweet face melts my heart every time!
He started a new thing were he likes to be tucked in!! He likes dad to do it and he also has to have moo moo and gaf gaf next to him.
More sprinkler times, Ellie is loving it too.

These pictures are all from early June. It has been a hot summer already. We are trying to get plenty of time in the water.
