Bedtime

Since Carter was about 12 months old we have been doing the same bedtime routine. Some nights go better than others, but majority of the time he is really easy. After jammies are on and diaper is changed we read a bedtime story. Most night a couple of stories.

We talk about some things...Carter trying to give me the sad face that he doesn't want to go to bed yet. I say, it is best to go to bed early and you will feel so good in the morning. Sometimes I think I should go to bed around 8:30! I will feel so rested in the morning.
Then we give a kiss to mommy and daddy. So sweet! Carter's kisses are the best. They can make you forget about everything else!
The the usually yell, Hey I am not ready for bed yet...time to play more?
OK, one last smile. See you in the morning!!!

Carter has always been so great about following his routine. Such a happy little boy.

Boomer Sooner!

Watching the OU game.
Trying to show Meme how to play.
Playing with some toys! The games are long so we get distracted!!
Why all the pics mom!!

Usually on Saturday afternoons/evenings we get together with Clay's grandparents and mom to watch the Sooners play. Carter got his first jersey this year. Some of his other family is trying to teach him to call the hogs, but he just shakes his head! Too funny, Carter will have to choose his team one day, but for now will go with daddy's team.

Late Sept till Oct 1st Pictures

Got some new Sooner wear!
Adorable monkey outfit from my favorite Aunt!
Actually stopped for a couple of seconds so mom could take a picture. This does not happen very often anymore.
Yay I love to go down my new slide at Papaw and Grandma's house. Thanks Uncle Brad for helping me. Everyone has something fun for Carter to play with outside.
Sitting in his rocking chair that Aunt Vicki made him for the baby shower. He has played with it a few times. But this night he decided to just sit right down and start rocking back and forth. I had to get a picture.

More September Pictures

We love to ride on our Kawasaki!
Hey dad, you need to catch up.
Really getting the hang of this thing!
Classic Carter pose!
Playing with his Sooners puppet while we watched the game with dad and papa.

Carter is having so much fun with all of his toys. It seems like every day he figures something else out. We are able to get out more because the weather has finally cooled down. Carter is always on the go and starting to talk more. I can't always make out what he is trying to say, but we can communicate better. We have also been working on some basic sign language. He can do more, thank you, and all done. He is so proud of himself when he does it. Eating is hit or miss these days. One day it seems like you will eat anything and then the next you will not touch food. We just keep on trying new things. Carter's favorites now are cheese, chicken, fruit, yogurt, and turkey dogs. Playing outside is still our favorite thing! Finally he is starting to wear shoes and 5 1/2 seem to fit best because his feet are so wide and chubby!

First of Sept Pics-13 months

There are a lot of pictures of Carter smiling, but not as many grumpy ones so I thought I would share. Still cute even if he is grumpy.
Sticking out his Belly!
Look at that hair! If it wasn't so curly we would have already cut it!
Helps mom clean.
So sleepy after momma made him clean all morning!!

12 month stats

We had your 12 month check up on August 23rd, because we changed insurances and had to wait a couple of weeks to get in. We really like your new pediatrician Dr. Phillips. We are now in the St Johns network.

Weight 24 lbs 3/4 oz- 60th percentile
Height 29 1/2 in - 30th percentile

You did drop a bit in the percentiles but the doctor said it was normal and everything looked good. You were really good at the doctor and held on to mom tight because you were not too sure of everyone! The shots were no fun, but luckily you are a big boy and get over them very quickly!!

We are so blessed to have such a healthy baby!

A couple of August Pics

Yummy...I love peaches...
Such an innocent face
Big brown eyes

Well...it has been forever since I last posted. I am going to have to blame it on our computer problems this last couple of months. These pictures were taken when Carter was 12 months old. I had to look back at my journal to remember some of the things he was doing at this time. It seems like it changes each week. Shortly after his 1st birthday he became a steady walker and has not stopped since! Carter loves to have yelling contest and is figuring out how to spin around in circles. He is also starting to really miss mom and dad when we leave him. You are also starting to give lots of kisses and hugs!!!
