June pics (Carter is 10 months old!)

Picture of Carter and his friend Roman (one of my best friend's little boy)
For my Aunt Missy's 40th birthday my family rented a big slide. Clay took Carter down it a couple of times. The first time he was ok, but the second he did not like it at all. I think it was a little too much for him. Give him a few months and he will be all about it!
Sweet smile...I love his big grins! His whole face lights up!
Carter wanted to test out our new tile floors. He loves to bang his toys on them. It is much louder than the linoleum we used to have.

Random Pics from May '10

Carter was so tired he fell asleep in his bouncer one night. I felt so bad for him, but it was just so sweet. I had to take a picture of it. He has some serious bouncing skills these days!
He gave dad a big cheese before bed.
He is so intrigued by all his toys now. It is so cute to see him concentrate when he plays with them.
One of his first times in the grass...he wasn't so sure about it.
The sun was a little bright. He had such a funny look on his face.

As you can tell by the pictures his hair is just out of control. I absolutely adore the curls. He also has big brown eyes. Every day he gets new expressions and it cracks me up. He is eating all kinds of things now. Some of his favs are pancakes, grilled cheese, and bananas. Everyday we just keep trying new things. He loves to be chased and just giggles when you say "I'm gonna get you." It is so funny!!! I just can't believe how fast he is growing up!!

Clay turned 30 on May 8th (it took me a little bit to post) and I put together a surprise party for him and the old Ducks stadium in Ozark. It was a really fun time and tons of family/friends showed up. We played ball and ate BBQ. Carter stole the show in his Cardinals outfit! He did so great for being out all day long! The next day was my first mother's day and we dedicated him at church. It was a great day! Unfortunately I didn't get any pics on my camera, but other family did. We will always remember May 9th, 2010, as a very special day that we dedicated our little Carter to the Lord. What an amazing weekend!!!

9 month check up

Pic with mommy at the doc office

Daddy and Carter at the doc
Carter on the scale

On May 6th Carter had his 9 month check and no shots this time. He did so well at the doctor's office. He loves the paper on the examine table! He just sits there and crumples it up. The doc said he was healthy and just to continue what we were doing. His stats were:

Weight: 20.7 lbs (53th%)
Height: 28.5 in (59th%)
Head Circ: 18 in (63%)

And another stat BMI is 17.9...it has slowly increased each appointment...he is a little chunk. I always call Carter, my biggest boy, but now I call him my medium sized boy. He was in the 80th percentile on his height for all his previous appointments, but now he has slowed down to be right in the middle. What a perfect little guy.

Carter is Nine Months Old

Look at my big teeth!
Momma and I had a silly pic
Practicing walking
Someone looks suspicious.

Carter turned 9 months on April 27th. This past few weeks have been very busy. On April 19th I had surgery to remove my gall bladder. The hardest thing was not being able to pick up Carter for a couple of weeks. I am now fully recovered and feeling better. Carter did great with everything and him and daddy had some serious bonding time. He just keeps changing every week. His hair is getting curly and he is starting to look older with 6 of his baby teeth in. He can cruise from one thing to another now, so close to walking. He differentiates between Clay and I, which is so neat. He is starting to really hate the diaper changes. You can't hold him down for anything because he is always on the go!! Carter is so curious of everything. It is awesome to watch him learn and figure out new things. This past 9 months has went by too fast!

Cute pic with Uncle Brad and Aunt Christy (Henry's parents)

Easter was such a beautiful day! We went to breakfast at G-Ma and Papaw house, then to church with them and Aunt Christy and Uncle Brad. For lunch we went out to Aunt Vickie's house for lunch with Nana and her family. The weather was beautiful and Carter looked so handsome in his tie. God has truly blessed us!!

Chunky butt and legs!

Wow, Carter has been changing so much this last couple of weeks. He was just waiting for the 8 month mark to start everything. When he was 8 months and 1 day he started crawling. Now he is in to absolutely everything. He heads straight for the dog food every time. He has also started blowing spit bubbles. He thinks it is pretty funny! We have just transitioned to 12 month clothing. The 6-9 won't fit around his belly anymore. He continues to be more animated every day. He loves to hear is voice. There is definitely been lots of ma ma's. I consider it his first word. Rough housing with daddy, is one of his favorite things. He is a tough little guy! And he has discovered a love for ceiling fans, I guess they are very interesting. His schedule has remained about the same; 4-5 bottles/nursing a day and about 4 jars of baby food. He has tried lots of the second foods now. He is a good eater (as you can tell from the pics). He has also tried some finger foods, for babies, that he loves. They actually taste pretty good! Our little boy is growing up so fast. What an amazing past 8 months!
